Abstract
The problem of temporal and spatial orientation is extremely diverse and has a universal meaning for all spheres of human activity, overarching various aspects of its interaction with reality. Proper mastering of spatial and temporal concept contributes to successful acquisition of various activities and creativity development by a child, though space and time categories are most complicated for understanding and perception by preschool children. Given the results of theoretical and preschool education practice, the article reveals the effect of the quality of the child's views of space and time on successful mastery of his/her pictorial activity as well as specificity of the space-time concepts representations in drawing, modeling, design. Children`s spatial concepts are a basis for artistic skills formation. Different types of creative activity of preschool children contain a significant potential for their understanding of spatial and temporal categories.
