Abstract
The article attempts to recreate some pages of the life and activities of the lieutenant of the UNR Army, the doctor Khrystyna Skachkivska-Sushko in 1919-1925, using the language of archival documents, and in particular those that are stored in the Central State Archives of the supreme bodies of power and management of Ukraine. It was established that X.Sushko took an active part in the armed protection of the UPR from the Bolshevik invasion, which culminated in the best national virtues in it, inherent only to the most consistent Ukrainian patriots. After receiving several injuries during the fighting with the Bolsheviks, she returned to medical service after treatment one of the brigades of the 6th «Sich» Rifle Division, although it was recognized as a military disabled. Being in internment camps and having two small children on their hands, she was, at the same time, engaged in active social work, taking advantage of the indisputable authority and love of almost all interned.
