Abstract
The article dwells upon the place and the role of lingua-cultural aspect in the study of a foreign language and the peculiarities of the process of development of lingua-cultural competence of the future teachers of English. The problem of the training primary school teachers of English on the basis of the materials of the country the language of which is learnt has been investigated, and the main ways of its improvement have been suggested.
