Abstract

The actual aspects of preparing children of preschool age for schooling in accordance with the concept of the New Ukrainian School, which are related to ensuring the principle of continuity between the links of preschool and primary education, have been covered in the article. The main contradictions between the existing practice of development and formation of the child in preschool years and the priority directions defined by the concept of the New Ukrainian School are disclosed. The modem child’s intellectual, emotionally-volitional and social school readiness is analyzed. The role of the pre-school teacher is shown according to the child’s school readiness formation. The variant of the algorithm for solving» these contradictions, which will contribute to the effective solution of the problem is proposed.
