Abstract
The article describes the essence of the pedagogical experiment as a method of empirical knowledge; the sequence of cognitive actions in the organization and carrying out of experimental work is described; a program of experimental work consisting of the following structural elements is presented: hypothesis, purpose, tasks and stages; methodical tools and experimental research base; the scale of calculation of the level of speech competence of future teachers of foreign languages is designed in accordance with the chosen methodological toolkit
