According to the results of the theoretical analysis, studying M. Montessori's works highlighted the ideas about the development and socialization of the child in preschool age. The author of the works on the theory of free education – M. Montessori viewed the education of the individual as aiding the life of the child. This idea is relevant in today's conditions of reforming the system of preschool education in Ukraine on the principles of anthropocentrism. The growing interest of the pedagogical community in the work of M. Montessori is explained by the search for ways of adapting the achievements of previous generations of teachers to modern pedagogical practice. The article deals with the scientific work of M. Montessori on the natural potential of the child as a basis for its development and self-development, the identification and enrichment of the abilities of each individual. Considerable attention is paid to the disclosure of the essence of the potential energies of the child: «horme», «mneme», «nebule», which must be taken into account for the design of a developing educational environment. These ideas started the humanistic direction in pedagogy. Much attention was paid by the teacher to the discovery of creative energy «nebule» for the development of the child. To its leading activities, the teacher attributed the organization of life in accordance with the customs and culture of their social group. This idea is relevant in the modern educational dimension. The content of the article contains a creative reflection on the idea of M. Montessori on absorbing the mind of the child, which is important for the development of the child from birth to 6 years. The ideas of M. Montessori on the place of sensitive periods in the development of the child are presented; the peculiarities of individual development according to the innate behaviors and the individual development plan, the arguments concerning the training of preschool children in the montsessory class of three years. Considerable attention is paid to the description of the requirements of the requirements for the teacher and educational environment. Material of the article is recommended for practical educators of educational establishments, applicants for the education of the first (bachelor's) and the second (master's) levels.
