Abstract
Tasks of the discipline: • to develop general competencies such as the ability to solve a problem in a complex way, the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations, the ability to adapt and to act in new situations, generate nonstandard ideas, to solve problems and fulfill assignments creatively (creativity); the ability to work in a team and individually,to interact personally, the ability to search, process and analyze information from different sources; the ability to be oriented to high result, to study and master modern knowledge, to get skills in using informational and communicative technologies; • to develop professional competencies such as the ability to form and create informative content including short multimedia texts; the ability to apply the methods of the editing analysis while processing texts having different target audiences and reading purposes; the ability to search and process information in the English language in the editing practice; the ability to control the quality of text and multimedia content of different media products.
