Abstract
The article covers the scientific backgrounds of teaching English to adults which appear in considering age and psychophysiological peculiarities of adults’ personal development. We found out that teaching and education of adults take place on different related levels: personal, role- and activity-based, procedural. Each level is detailed defined. The attention is drawn to the fact that education becomes more efficient if we consider motivating readiness of students to be taught and creating of positive microclimate. It is proved by the test analysis conducted in two groups: experimental and control one.
