Abstract
Fondoscience course is an integral part of the training of specialists in in direction 029 "Information, library and archives". The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with knowledge of the methodological, organizational, technological and managerial principles stock science in order to gain practical skills for the future professional activity. Objectives of the discipline: - to study the theoretical foundations of stock science as a science and educational discipline; - to consider the main historical stages of the development of stock science; - to form general concepts about the library fund as a system, its functions, features, properties, parameters; - to study theoretical, organizational and technological principles of formation library stock; - master the scientific approaches to managing the library fund; - get acquainted with the professional requirements for professionals working with the library fund as subjects of its management. The discipline is aimed at the formation of such professional (special) program competences of educational and professional training program bachelors in the field of preparation 6.020102 «Book Science, librarianship and bibliography »: - apply conceptual and categorical apparatus of stock science; 5 - determine the general trends, history and current state of development domestic and foreign stock science; - to substantiate the main characteristics of the library stock as systems; - to know the composition and structure of the library stock; - to provide technological cycle of formation of funds; - manage the fund; - to study the library fund to optimize its composition and structures.
