The paper deals with actualization of artistic and creative synesthesiality of elementary schoolchildren in theory and in artistic practice of pedagogical education. The study pays special attention to synesthesiality as to an element of complex influence of Arts which takes on the role of metaphors. It defines the notion of colour and music synesthesia which appears in the process of associative visualization of a deeper motion of feelings and emotions evoked by music. Synesthesiality is a powerful tool for creating artistic and creative skills of elementary schoolchildren on the basis of verbal and non-verbal (visual, audial, kinesthetic) systems. The paper outlines the significance of integrating music and colour into esthetic education as a means for harmonic development of personality. It analyses relations between music images and real-life analogues not on the basis of external objective similarity, but that of internal emotional one. Special attention should be paid to the examples of integral techniques when associative field of musical perception of a piece of art by elementary schoolchildren is formed through graphical drawing of images. The techniques of musical graphics and colour visualization are of significant importance for creative musical activity of elementary schoolchildren. These techniques are expressed via turning unconscious impressions obtained from listening to a piece of music into conscious ones by using abstract elements of painting: colour lines and forms. As a result, students can give colour and musical characteristics, model the sound dynamics with colours, create analogies and intersensuous associations, pliably intone and verbally visualize pieces of music. Analysis of synesthesial components of artistic imagery reaches the relation of unconscious and conscious and touches upon the vibrating nature of fusion of sound, colour, pliability and other modalities of music perception. Therefore, the art in synesthesia is a system of creative reflection of reality in artistic images in which synesthesiality is a fundamental system feature of artistic thought and perception.
