Анотація
In this article I highlight several points of interest concerning the inexhaustible Spanish proverb heritage and its journey across centuries into modern ages. We have to point out the essentiality of proverbs´ core, so called “Spanish paremiological minimum” or proverbial basic vocabulary known to and used by most young Spanish native speakers. Some substantial aspects of contemporary proverbs´ usage are analyzed here, namely, their origin and terminological variety, as well as European proverbs´ common and specific features, their problems, survival and, finally, the paremiologic creations of nowadays.
