The article highlights the problem of accentuating the nature of adolescents and the relationship with their appearance. Theoretical analysis of the problem of accentuations of character of teenagers is presented, which is interconnected with their appearance, which help to determine the basic content of functional-structural components of this phenomenon and allow to carry out basic classification of different types of accentuations of character in adolescence. The most recent scientific papers on accentuation in various fields of psychology are analyzed. The article deals with the attitude of teenagers to their appearance according to the accentuations of character. The relationship of appearance and accentuation is revealed.The peculiarities of attitudes towards teenagers' own appearance, which have different types of accentuation of character, are outlined. An analysis of the classic characteristics of the main accentuations of the character is presented, taking into account their influence on the appearance of adolescents. The article considers and analyzes theoretical approaches of researchers in the study of psychological features of manifestations of character accentuation, as well as examines the typologies of adolescent character accentuation and basic concepts.The theoretical model of attitude to the appearance of adolescents of different types of accentuations is presented. Experimental data are presented, which show differences of representatives of different types of accentuations, such as: 1) demonstrative; 2) pedantic; 3) stuck; 4) exciting; 5) hypertensive; 6) dysthymic; 7) anxious; 8) cyclothymic; 9) exalted; 10) emotional - each of which has its specific manifestation, which shows itself in appearance. The procedure of empirical research using the method of studying the accentuations of personality (G. Shmishek) and the developed questionnaire are described.The main tendencies of representatives of different types of accentuation to their appearance are outlined. In conclusion, the results of the empirical study are analyzed in detail. Correlation analysis of the results of the study of the relationship of the appearance of adolescents with different types of accentuations of nature, which confirmed the conformity of our questionnaire with the results of the questionnaire Shmishek, with demonstrative, captivating, exciting, dysthymic, anxious, cyclothymic accentuation. The facts and results revealed during the research can be used by students, practical psychologists, parents, teachers, social educators in working with accentuated adolescents to study the topic of this article in-depth.
