Анотація
Over the last decades, there has been an alarming situation regarding the decline in the number of healthy children in Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the most common diseases among children are manifestations of visual impairment and changes of the musculoskeletal system, in particular impaired posture and scoliosis. This situation is getting even worse among Ukrainian students. That is why it is so important to create a health-saving space in the school for children and students. The main reasons of formation of an incorrect posture and its influence on an organism's health are revealed in the article. Emphasis is placed on the proper selection of educational furniture to organize safe and comfortable conditions for children and students at universities and to preserve their health during the educational process.
