The article presents the theoretical and methodological substantiation of the concept of business coaching as a practice that is used to optimize the business process. It is indicated that the main sources of coaching as a modern concept of practical psychology are sports (individual and team) coaching, artistic models of mentoring and spiritual-being practices. It is argued that the use of business coaching is a great contribution to the corporate culture, which results in a positive attitude towards the individual, a belief that everyone is a champion. The strength of coaching tools and processes that support people in building new plans, assessing core values, explaining development choices, and seeing a professional future are noted. Emphasis is placed on the basic principles of the coaching process (everything is in order; the person makes the best choice available to them; changes are not only possible but always occur; each person has all the resources to achieve what he wants; in each action there is a positive intention) and their application in business. The methodology of work with the organization (coaching with the first person of the company; coaching with the top managers of the company; work with the next level of subordination; implementation of the project and monitoring of fulfillment of obligations at each step) and the results of the application of such system are given. Coaching as a concept of practical psychology, on the one hand, is stated to be based on well-known methods of psychological science: observation, interviewing, conversation, testing, modeling, etc., and on the other hand, has its own standardized and tested procedures, models and technologies of self-actualization (SMATR, GROW, etc.). They are briefly introduced to them. It is shown that coaching consulting is relevant and vital for all areas of business, because it promotes the creation of conditions for qualitative changes in the activity of a business person, which will inevitably lead to the desired result in accordance with their own requirements and a new turn in the development of the company itself.
