Abstract
This study aims at describing the approaches to conflictological competence forming and presents the model and programme of forming of conflictological competence. Conflictological competence is understood as an ability of a person to act in a way designed to minimize destructive forms of conflict and transform negative social conflicts into constructive social ones. The model describes the aim, tasks, conditions and directions of forming of students’ conflictological competence. The ideas of subject approach formed the basis of our programme as well as theses about critical thinking as personality characteristic, pcychological concepts of conflictological competence and ideas of dialog as join activity aimed at overcoming contradictions between opponents. The programme of forming of students’ conflictological competence was aimed at learning the system of knowledge and skills to solve and regulate conflicts as well as developing the ability of search and use special tools and resources for constructive conflict solving. These conditions included ensuring the freedom of intellectual activities at educational space, critical thinking developing, and orientation at personality as a subject, using dialogs in learning process and cross-curriculum connections between courses. Directions of forming of conflictological competence are shown such as cognitive, motivating and value directions, also behavioral, communicative and reflexive ones. The presented programme consists of five blocks and includes lectures, practical lessons and students’ individual work. Interactive forms such as discussions, modeling of situations, role plays are presented. Participants of the programme were detecting the essence and structure of conflicts, their reasons, opponents’ positions, interests and needs, practicing problem-solving and active-listening skills. According to the research results, using of training technologies, diagnostic procedures, dialogue practices and analysis of situations promoted the increase of students’ ability to deal conflicts in constructive way and search out useful tools and resources.
