Abstract
The research paper provides the analytical review of the scientific publications dedicated to the study of discourse in Chinese linguistics. The author analyses China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). The article reveals the current Chinese scientific literature (manuals, articles in scientific periodicals, dissertations etc.) on discourse in Chinese linguistics. A review of its content has been made. The main research approaches (discourse linguistics, discourse linguistics and translation, discourse linguistics and methodology) have been defined. The article provides an overview of the state of scientific elaboration of discourse in Chinese linguistics. The main trends in the views of experts on the problem are identified. The fact that Chinese research on discourse in linguistics has been based on "Western" theoretical models and methodology is highlighted. Emphasis is placed on the need to make further research. On analysis of the scientific publications was found that there is the scientific discussion on the definition of "discourse". Basic information on the impact of Reform and Opening Up on the development of linguistic discourse research in China is presented. Summarizing the review of the literature on the concept of "discourse" in Chinese linguistics, a conclusion is formulated about the valuable contribution of scientific publications to the research on Chinese linguists and discourse. It is proved that many issues, although studied by many authors, remain unresolved and debatable. Under the modern paradigm of not only linguistic, but also universal knowledge, the discourse which cannot be precisely defined yet becomes a key notion. When searching for articles on CNKI, the key words were “话语 语言学” (discourse linguistics), so scientific papers that do not contain these words are not included in the study. Also, the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) does not include monographs, so the scientific literature in this study does not necessarily reflect the general state of discourse research in Chinese linguistics.
