Abstract

In the professional literature to this day, descriptiveness, factualism, superficiality of consideration, contradictory argumentation, repetition of well-known theses, and sometimes positions and assessments of the authors of the early twentieth century prevail. The most biased conclusions of scientists about the social aspects of the educational space, including the female one. To refute the idea, widespread in the historical and pedagogical literature, about the availability of secondary and higher education for women in the late imperial period exclusively for the wealthy strata of the population, as well as the expansion and persuasiveness of the argumentation, we verify our hypothesis on empirical material.
