Abstract
The research is devoted to the corpus analysis of the novel “Friends Forever” by Daniella Steel, particularly concentrating on the main notion of the novel best friend. The corpus analysis has been carried out with the help of Sketch Engine tool revealing the frequency of the use of the lexeme friend as well as its synonyms in the text and typical collocations.
