Abstract

An analysis of various studies of the role of a fairy tale as a means of educational influence on a person allows us to assert that peculiarly constructed oral stories of heroic-fantastic, social, everyday or moral-ethical content, called a fairy tale (from the word "legend"), are of interest to modern children and adults. Fairy tales, obeying the general laws of the works of the folk epic, contain certain ethical characteristics. Expressively, with an attractive force, in a form accessible to a child, fairy tales reveal national and universal values that people cherished and passed on to their descendants in the form of amazing dreams about the invincibility of good, truth and a happy life. Among the riches of the folk epic, fairy tales represent a special folklore form, based on the paradox of the real and the fantastic, harmoniously combining and enchanting with the beauty of the folk word, wisdom, kindness, love and optimism.
