Sharing economy: digital transformation of entrepreneurship on the way to industry 4.0

Authors suggest that sharing is a hub of horizontal business relationships and an IT platform that connects millions of sellers and customers. That is, individuals and companies, instead of buying the thing they need or get a service, rent an apartment, vehicle, house, appliances, storage, books, tools, equipment. The postulates on which the concept of modern sharing is based are presented, including saving of time and resources, usefulness, application of communication technologies, trust, rational consumption. The driving forces of the development of sharing economy are identified, namely: revived trust, environmental problems, global economic crisis, peer-to-peer social networks and real-time technologies, etc. Argued by the study of the article, which is gaining popularity trend “use” instead of “mother”, is becoming open to users’ openness to new services and new customer experience, in addition, consumers are increasingly choosing local companies with a “human face” instead of corporations. The opinion was expressed that the population should be involved in the “network sociality” on the basis of: self-organization, through social platforms, using the Internet to discuss foresight projects on particularly important issues of consumer economy. In the future, this will allow the use of IT technologies to identify barriers that limit the development of certain markets, areas and the integration of services into the concept of “shared consumption”. Authors present the types of consumption of the network society that lay the foundation for the formation of sharing economy, namely: personalized consumption, joint consumption, joint creation. The opinion is expressed that the most important factor in the transition to sharing economy is the transformation of customer service. It is the customer, who differs from the consumer by active involvement in the process of forming its value proposition, today is a key player in the market. It is noted that today there are three areas of digital transformation, related to customer experience, operational processes and a new business model. The choice of path depends on the resources of the organization, as well as the effectiveness of the economic analysis. Author’s visualization of phasing in the possibility of using sharing in the implementation of a business project is presented and the stages of development of sharing economy in the conditions of virtual reality are indicated. The indicators of activity of the leaders of the common economy are given.
