Abstract

The article considers the concept of self-control, its content, structure and functions. Scientific works are analyzed, which determine the essence of the concepts musical-auditory self-control, auditory self-control, intonation self-control, and vocal-auditory self-control, their content, structural components, methods and techniques of formation or development. The most topical works of modern scientists who consider self-control of future specialists in various types of educational and musical-performance activity are covered. The article substantiates the importance of the formation of auditory self-control on an additional musical instrument (violin). The study found that reflection reveals the processes that affect the formation of self-control, namely: self-observation, self-analysis, self-esteem. Auditory self-observation is the first thing a student is capable of while playing. Self-control is an integrative ability to analyze and evaluate one’s own behavior and one’s own activity in order to check the achieved results and bring them in line with the set personal goals. Auditory self-control is based on a person’s ability to perceive, realize and evaluate their own results. Musical-auditory self-control is a form of activity of the performer, which is manifested in the verification of the task, critical evaluation of both sound results and the process of performance and correction of deficiencies. Vocal-auditory self-control is a skill that allows a student to control his singing at the level of sensations corresponding to the professional requirements of the academic school of solo singing. Intonation self-control acts as a conditioned reflex, which can be improved both by the teacher and the performer due to the systematic and purposeful work of both parties. After analyzing the scientific literature, we came to the conclusion that there are currently a number of works by scientists on the study of self-control in various activities. But there are no works related to the problem of auditory self-control of the future music teacher in classes with an additional musical instrument (violin).
