Abstract

M. Vasylevych's book is dedicated to the figures of musical culture of Eastern Galychyna of the XIX century - choirmasters, amateur composers, priests Ivan Chrysostom Sinkevych and his son Orest Sinkevych, whose life and creative relations were connected with the outstanding composer, author of the Ukrainian anthem Fr. Mykhailo Verbytsky. We hope that descriptions of cultural and musical life, as well as mentions of historical conditions, details of life in Galychyna and Bukovyna at that time will be of interest to a wide range of fans of Ukrainian musical culture and history.
