Abstract
The article examines the institute of trust through the prism of digitization and defines its important role in managing at different levels of economic aggregation. An attempt has been made to fully convey content of latest Big data digital technology in the trust management system. Author’s vision of the mechanism of formation and management of customer trust on basis of digitalization is offered, to define its characteristic features and to reveal content. Authors have expressed the opinion that today: most investors’ decisions are based on trust; top management plays a decisive role in building trust, but it is important that everyone in the organization learns how to build trust; trust or distrust exists at all levels of interaction: inside the organization, the market, society, country and beyond. It was determined that an important role in building trust in a company belongs to top management. Responsibility for the development of an appropriate culture lies with the leadership, and only then – with each employee. It has been established that trust or distrust exist at all levels of interaction: within an organization, market, society, country and beyond. However, today the need for trust is expanding in trust in machines, algorithms and data analytics. The article also presents mechanism of building customer confidence on basis of digitalization, which will cover four important components. It is justified by the research, importance of building trust-based relationships, tools for building trust-based relationships, the problems that arise in building long-term relationships in trust in the context of digitalization, based on the success of two Ukrainian companies. The correlation between the level of institutional and interpersonal trust from the point of view of digitization of the economy is revealed. Rating of Institute of trust in governmental institutions in selected countries in 2011 and 2018 is presented. According to rating of Institute of Public Trust in Government Institutions, Singapore was the leader in 2011 and 2018. Ukraine was in the last position in 2011, in 2018 it was in 4th place at the end of the ranking.
