Abstract

The article states that in order to encourage a child to spirituality, the teacher himself must become a bearer of higher spiritual values. To diagnose spiritual culture, the method "Spiritual culture of a teacher" was developed. Eleven types of spiritual and professional aspirations were identified, which correspond to the structure of the personality, pedagogical activity, professional requirements to the personality of the teacher. The results of the methodology allow to establish a connection between the level of development of personal qualities and abilities that characterize the spiritual culture and their development on the reflexive, value and creative levels. The leading tendencies characterizing the process of development of the teacher's spiritual culture are also indicated.
