Abstract

The article reveals the political, social, economical and religious factors that influenced the policy of the Russian authorities towards Armenians and Azerbaijanis. Authors analyze the reasons and stages of interethnic conflict in the countries of Caucasus, reveal the mechanism of the mutual destruction of the population (Turkish and Armenian, Azerbaijani and Armenian). Also authors are considering the policy of the Russian authorities towards mass migration of peoples when in XIX century in Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenians from the national minority became a significant majority. Also in the article we investigate and analyze historical facts of Soviet politics, when in 1920-30s with the assistance of the party union top, most of the territories were cut off from Azerbaijan and annexed to Armenia. At the same time in the article notes that thanks to the powerful diaspora which in European countries and then in USA have more than a century of history and in a well-functioning information and propaganda system, the Armenians brought to the world information about the destruction and oppression of them. The article introduces facts showing that the Armenians mercilessly destroyed the Turks, Kurds or Azerbaijanis, and most often defenseless children, women, old people suffered, because they could not escape. The main historical plots of interethnic conflicts in Transcaucasia, reflected in literature and journalism, are identified, and the problems of their interpretation are designated. The final conclusion is that the only possible formula for reconciliation between peoples, woven in a tight knot of Transcaucasian problems, will be: we forgive and we ourselves ask for forgiveness. According to this universal formula, infinitely humanistic from a religious, cultural or any other point of view, the following links in establishing good-neighborly relations and resolving mutual claims should go.
