Abstract

The modern educational process requires exciting, cognitive, emotional, dynamic forms of teaching. Such educational technology is edutainment. Еdutainment is understood as a modern educational technology, which is a set of modern technical, informational, didactic teaching aids used to transfer knowledge, views, experience, skills in active, playful, entertaining, practical activities in a comfortable environment. Edutainment can have two forms of implementation in primary school: as educational entertainment and entertainment education, and in particular when studying the integrated course «I explore the world». Introduction of material, didactic, technical, multimedia tools of edutainment in lessons «I explore the world» in primary school: helps to increase motivation to learn; makes the process of learning more exciting, diverse, accessible; allows students to gain knowledge in a new interesting original way; creates psychologically comfortable conditions for communication, cooperation, interaction of students in groups, teams; promotes the disclosure of the creative potential of junior students; enriches emotional and sensory, social experience; contributes to the formation of values. Material tools of edutainment include museums, galleries, libraries, the city of professions, cafes, shops, supermarkets, sports complexes, play areas, production, offices, pharmacies, parks, nature; to didactic – role-playing, plot-role, theatrical, business, folk games, situations; to technical – electronic educational resources, personal computer resources, audiovisual means, TV programs, web resources, virtual tours. The use of edutainment tools in the lessons «I explore the world» requires that: the content of the material studied was interesting, exciting, related to the practical aspects of school life; students independently solved problems in small groups; preference was given to playful, thoughtful forms that lead to pleasure, relieve psychological stress; classes were held outside the school; priority was active independent activity of schoolchildren; multimedia learning technologies were used.
