Abstract

In the presented materials, embroidery is considered as a process of catharsis, which occurs due to the experience of certain emotions during work. Emotions help not only in the harmonizing and healing processes, they are also directly involved in the formation processes. It is proved that Ukrainian folk embroidery is a world of symbols, the reaction to which through the emotional component forms the ethnic consciousness. It is explained that Ukrainian folk embroidery evokes higher aesthetic feelings based on ethnicity.
