Abstract

The central purpose of this article is to highlight the nature, place and role of the topical problem of the interactive technology usage in students’ communicative learning at pedagogical specialties. The main attention is paid to the concept of the Case Study method, its features and application models, which is discussed in details through the article. The author concentrates on the examination of scientific approaches to study the definition content of the technology / method “Case Study”. The efficiency of Case Study implementation in the process of foreign language monologue speech skill formation is highlighted. In order to do so a general overview of Case Study method is presented. The nature of its role and positive influence is fully examined. The top attention is paid to the case study aid which means students’ project activities. So the author develops the stages of making case projects, such as: project introduction, working out period, data handling, own product production, final presentation, gives a detailed characteristic of each of them, focusing on the aim and the main steps to reach it. The proprietary product of the research is the development of the series of the cases for students’ practical project activities in the process of foreign language monologue speech skill formation in oral and written students’ communication in the English language in accordance with the needs of intercultural communication and professional training. In order to do so the author gives the examples of such tasks as well as their full description according to the developed stages. In the conclusions, the author highlights the benefits of Case Study method usage, such as: Case Study method allows you to develop cases on different themes; Case Study method allows you to develop cases of various complex levels; Case Study method provokes students to participate in the discussion of issues using their life experience; Case Study method allows you to improve monologue speech skills.
