Abstract

The article considers the problem of primary school modernization, specifically the subject of mathematics, with the goal of modernizing the content of traditional components of the learning model and introducing new methods, techniques, and technologies of learning using ICT. The following terms are defined in the research: primary school, primary school mathematics, primary school mathematics lesson, comic, and e-resources for creating comics. The views of contemporary Ukrainian and foreign scientists on the use of comics in pedagogy are examined, and the need for new approaches in the process of teaching mathematics in a primary school is substantiated. The following e-resources for creating comics are discussed: Comic Master, Pixton, Storyboardthat, MakeBeliefsComix, Write Comics, and Witty Comics. The practical experience of using modern e-resources for the development of subject competencies of students majoring in 013 “Primary Education” of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of the educational program 013.00.01 “Primary Education” is highlighted. The primary school math lesson plan that made use of a comic on the e-platform Storyboardthat is given. The current state of creating comics with the help of e-resources by students of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) education levels has been analyzed, and the use of e-resources in mathematics lessons in a primary school has been practically realized within the framework of pedagogical practice in Kyiv schools. The data of experimental research are analyzed using mathematical statistics methods. The diagram depicts the difference between the standard deviation and the average value increase in the levels of control work of primary school students in grade 4 (the density and distribution function according to the formative experiment).
