The article considers the problem of interaction of participants of the educational process during the introduction of distance education. The authors made an attempt to present the results of studying the current state of this problem in the practice of the educational institution. Based on the results of theoretical conceptual analysis, we have identified the main areas of interaction of general secondary education institutions with parents of students in blended and distance education. Among them, we have identified the types of resources that create conditions for the implementation of interaction in a blended and distance education environment, namely: internet resources, communications, print resources. The article also provides a brief description of each of them. In this article, we present a description of a study of the effectiveness of school interaction with parents of students in a blended and distance education. The study was conducted in a school in Kyiv with teachers and parents of primary school students. To study the state of implementation of school interaction with the parent community, the method of contextual questionnaires (for parents) was used, during which three stages were conducted, each of which was developed based on the results obtained in the previous stage; and interview method (for teachers). In total, 60 respondents were involved in the study - parents of students in grades 1-4 and their teachers. Based on the results of a comparative analysis of the selected key inquiries of parents of primary school students regarding the organization of interaction with the school and teachers' understanding of the state of such interaction, the existing problems in the practice of the educational institution have been identified. The obtained results provide an opportunity to actualize the problem of interaction between teachers and the parent community in the context of distance education at a practical level, as well as to identify the main ideas that may be decisive in the implementation of this problem. For example, parents' requests for the implementation of remote interaction with the use of offline format tools (resources) stimulate the search for effective resources for such interaction and its methodological support.
