Abstract

The article considers the concept of “integration” in the context of modern domestic education. Its latest interpretations in scientific sources are specified. The role of integration in primary art education and its influence on the complexity of lessons is outlined. Considering the classifications of domestic scientists, we propose to use the following: panel art discussion lesson, blogging lesson, show lesson, case lesson, fusion lesson. Their advantages and possibilities of application in practical activity by future primary school teachers are singled out. The resourcefulness of integrated art lessons is determined, which we see in the introduction of novelty into the usual structure of school education; systematization and complexity of the received artistic knowledge; creation of favourable conditions for the implementation of personality-oriented and developmental learning of junior students; promoting the development of the intellectual and creative potential of students, motivation to learn about the nature of artistic phenomena and the ability to distinguish between cause and effect relationships. Also, such lessons stimulate students’ attention, relieve fatigue, psychological stress and help to interest students in art. Based on the generalization of scientific material, we offer the following names of the author’s integrated art lessons for primary school students: “Carnival of Art”, “How do the sounds of natural music sound?”, “Christmas bells call for carols”, “Spring smiles sound”, “Art unites past and present”, “Stakeholders of contemporary art”. In accordance with these themes of integrated art lessons, the use of arts helps to reveal them comprehensively. Prospects for further research are seen in the development of scenarios for these lessons, which need to follow the variability of construction, integration of different arts, use modern pedagogical technologies, take into account the experience of students, their interests, try to use certain forms and genres of lessons to form key competencies on integrated art lessons in accordance with the requirements of NUS.
