Abstract

The article examines the educational opportunities and features of using Web 3.0 technologies in foreign language learning for 4th graders. The essence of the key concept of the research "Web 3.0 technologies" is revealed. Cognitive possibilities of using Web 3.0 technologies in teaching a foreign language to 4th-grade students are exposed. Methodological recommendations are given for organizing the process of involving 4th-grade students directly in the process of learning a foreign language, using the capabilities of Web 3.0 technologies. Attention is focused on the importance of observing the organizational and methodological conditions of foreign language learning for 4th-grade students using Web 3.0 technology. Considered and characterized various types of software aimed at teaching 4th-grade foreign language students, such as Linguatorium, Professor Higgins, BookwormDelux, interactive online service Hot-Potatoes and LearningApps, game websites such as Nickelodeon, Club Penguin, Nasa Kids Club, National Geographic Kids. Information on online foreign language learning tools for 4th-grade students is presented. Among them: are semantic digital libraries, virtual 3D libraries, semantic blogs, microblogging, virtual worlds, and avatars, virtual educational laboratories, intelligent search, and intelligent data analysis, and online books with automatic English translation and audio. It has been proven that conducting foreign language lessons for 4th-grade students using Web 3.0 technologies contributes to the implementation of the principle of learning accessibility, convenience, great informativeness, the informality of learning, optimization of the educational process, individual approach to learning, activation of students' cognitive interest in self-learning and self-development, formation of communication skills and cooperation between the teacher and students in extracurricular time.
