Abstract

The relevance of the submitted article is determined by the globalization and European integration transformations of modern society, as well as Ukraine’s acquisition of the status of a candidate for accession to the European Union, which prompts the national system of higher education to make innovative changes in the area of learning how to study, work, coexist with representatives of other cultures and ethnic groups, and live in the conditions of martial law The article analyzes the etymology of the phenomenon “innovation”. The author’s definition of educational innovation has been presented as the process and result of the creation and implementation of systemic innovations that meet the modern challenges of society and effectively influence the modernization of higher education and its prospective development. The concept of “innovative dimension” has been defined as a parameter that characterizes the properties, features, a certain state of higher education in the innovative context, which is represented by such areas as conceptual and innovative, technological and innovative, communicative and innovative dimensions. The article proves that the conceptual and innovative dimension of modern higher education is connected with a polyparadigmatic synthesis of personally oriented, meaningful, reflective educational paradigms, as well as the ideas of interdisciplinary methodology. The article analyzes technological and innovative dimension of higher education, which is related to the implementation of a technological approach to modern higher education in the form of innovative educational technologies that meet such technological criteria as conceptuality, systematicity, novelty, manageability, reproducibility, diagnosticity and efficiency. The communicative and innovative dimension of higher education has been revealed, oriented to a new format of relations between a lecturer and a student on the basis of an educational partnership, which involves the implementation of the lecturer’s facilitative functions and cooperation and partnership interaction with students. The conclusion has been made that the aspect of detailed analysis of each direction of the innovative dimension of higher education needs further study.
