Pedagogical conditions for building of ethnocultural competence of the future vocal coaches in higher education institutions

The article highlights the essence of the scientific concept “ethnocultural competence of the future vocal coaches”, specifies the structural components of the given phenomenon, substantiates the pedagogical conditions for building of ethnocultural competence of students in the process of professional training in higher educational institutions of artistic direction. The research was conducted by applying a complex of general scientific (theoretical) methods, namely: comparison, analysis, generalization, deduction. The authors reveal the essence of ethnocultural competence as a professionally significant integrative quality of the individual, which includes the motives of knowledge, acceptance and understanding of the national culture as a whole and its specific features, laws, ways of life and development of multicultural world and the ability to use them in the practice of educating a future student as a man of Culture. According to the authors, the subject matter of ethnocultural competence includes such components as: ethnomental awareness and self-consciousness; cultural and dialogic orientation of activity; folklore and musical literacy; ethnopedagogical educational motivation and orientation. The article proposes pedagogical conditions for building of ethnocultural competence, namely: focus on building of sustainable motivation and values-based attitude of the future vocal coaches to further professional occupation; provision of ethnocultural educational space in higher education institution with the consideration of cognitive and educational potential of national, cultural, and family traditions; addition of folklore works and folk songs in the musical and pedagogical repertoire; activation and support of students’creative self-fulfilment in the process of their artistic and creative activities. Organizational and group forms of work with future professionals in the process of classroom activity have been suggested: creation of success situations; stimulation of high achievements of students; giving them the opportunity to make their own choices and act independently without fear of condemnation or negative assessment of the vocal teacher; participation of students in the selection of content, forms and methods of educational process in solo singing classes; giving students tools for self-discovery and self-improvement; ensuring subject-subject (between a teacher and a student, a student and a student) and subject-object (between a student and a work of art, a teacher and a work of art) relations, implementation of the idea of “dialogue of cultures”carried out by including students into intercultural communication.
