Анотація

The article presents the interdisciplinary approach to analyze Ukrainian romanticism as a national version of the European romantic style of the 19th and early 20th centuries. This approach is based on the comparison of the aesthetic and artistic foundations of the Romantic style with its fundamental principles in Western and Eastern European countries in different cultural fields such as philosophy, literature and music. The generalizations in the article derive from an analysis of the creative heritage of the Ukrainian and European Romantics, as well as from a consideration of Ukrainian Romanticism in humanities studies. Based on historical, cultural-historical, comparative-historical academic methods and modeling method, the dynamics of Ukrainian romanticism under the influence of the aesthetic principle and the creativity of the European romantics of the XIX and early XX centuries are traced. It is proved that the evolution of Ukrainian romanticism has 3 stages (early, folk and neo-romantic) embodying typological features of European romanticism and national peculiarities of Ukrainian romanticism. The author concludes that the authenticity of the style of Ukrainian romanticism is previously conditioned by the nature of the connection between European and national trends. The results of the research extend the interdisciplinary discourse of Romanticism. Furthermore, the analytical generalizations of Ukrainian Romanticism enrich the context of the examination of Romanticism as a multicultural artistic-aesthetic system.
