Abstract

The use of innovative technologies in the process of foreign language training is always relevant. The article highlights the issue of digitalization in education, the need to find ways to support students' motivation during a foreign language in remote and mixed forms of organization of the educational process in free economic education of Ukraine, so it is proposed to consider social and pedagogical conditions of social networks education, which will enhance the cognitive activity of students in the process of learning a foreign language both during online classes and independently. The study proved that modern students use social networks in everyday communication, to search for information of various kinds, to view entertaining content in both Ukrainian and foreign languages; a certain part creates and places its own content. It is proved that social networks can be a tool for learning a foreign language, because the study found that today a significant number of students use them for self-study. Also, a survey of applicants for higher education proved their interest in the use of social networks in the process of foreign language training in the Free Economic Zone. One of the important pedagogical conditions for the introduction of social networks in the process of foreign language training of students is the transformation of thinking of modern teachers, the level of formation of digital competence, which often needs improvement. A modern foreign language teacher in the Free Economic Zone needs to change the verbal style of introducing educational material and become an innovator in order to interest students - the generation of Digital Natives. It is proved that social networks can become an innovative tool both directly in foreign language classes in freelance and in homework and independent work, in particular it is possible to write posts in a foreign language on a particular topic, create and post conversational and video stories in a foreign language, develop group projects etc.
