Abstract

The semantic aspect of the concepts “quality” and “quality of higher education” on the material of some lexicographical sources is analyzed in the article; concepts “the quality of education” and “the quality of training”, which are the components of the quality of higher education, are specified; the importance of the high level professional competence formation for ensuring a graduate’s competitiveness on the labour market and the success of his future educational activities is theoretically justified; the notion that educating young people on the ideas of mutual understanding, mutual respect, and tolerance is an important component of the higher education quality enhancement process in Ukraine is proven.
