Abstract

The article carries out a theoretical analysis of the problems of training future foreign language teachers in higher education institutions of Ukraine in the conditions of non-formal education. The author proves the rationality of applying non-formal education for students as a full-fledged partner of formal education that meets the requirements of modern society. A non-formal approach to language learning will provide students with the opportunity to constantly improve themselves in the professional sphere, promote their successful socialization in a multifaceted society, and motivate lifelong learning. The study draws attention to the fact that along with the use of achievements of the domestic pedagogical heritage for the development of the adult education system in our country, the study and implementation of foreign experience is of great importance. The new European paradigm of «lifelong education» envisages the development of a person throughout their life as a worker, citizen, individuality, their continuous education, which accompanies a person in various periods of their life and contributes to the development of social and professional mobility, determining their place in society, their human and civic duty. The recognition of non-formal education of adults as a mandatory integral component of the continuous education system and the development of appropriate regulatory and legal support ensure the trust and sustainable interest of Europeans in acquiring new personal, social and educational competencies in the conditions of non-formal education. One of the main tasks of the scientific work is to analyze trends in the development of non-formal education in higher education institutions of Ukraine, taking into account the experience of similar educational practices in the EU member states. Based on the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the comparison, conclusions were made about the similarities and differences of the studied systems and their functions, establishing possible connections between them. The results of the study can be used to diagnose and predict the growth of interest in non-formal education among the promising youth of Ukraine, in particular future foreign language teachers.
