Abstract
The issues of saving and developing Ukrainian dance are outlined in the article. A conceptual approach to the analysis of the formation of trends in the cruel repertoire policy and the intensification of ideological pressure in the post-Soviet period is developed. The cultural function of the national choreographic art is analyzed. The main aspects of the revival of folklore canons that preserve the truthfulness and realism of folk art are considered. Attention is focused on the artistic achievements of the Ukrainian choreographer Vasyl Avramenko, who popularized the national dance art by reviving the ancient kolomyikas, arkans, and hutsulkas. The formation of the latest ethnocultural outlook on folk dances of the world countries with the possibility of fixing and popularizing the national heritage is investigated. The process of preserving and disseminating the national culture of ethnic societies operating in modern Ukraine is characterized. The main idea of the cultural centers of national minorities is to promote the process of national unity, to promote friendly relations between peoples, and to familiarize the population with the culture, traditions, and history of their people. Scholars' attention is focused on the development of Ukrainian national culture, which is one of the main achievements of our people. It is determined that the first link of the educational process of the specialized direction with the introduction of the compulsory study of Ukrainian dance will change the level of performance and teaching skills of future managers and teachers of specialized educational institutions. It is emphasized that the study of Ukrainian folk dance in higher education institutions forms the professional skills of future choreographers. This knowledge provides a unique opportunity to express in their dance, movement, facial expressions, and gestures the wealth of worldview values of national art. The article confirms the main idea of the modern cultural process, namely the popularization of Ukrainian dance from motivated active youth to the knowledge of national culture, traditions, and Ukrainian art in general.
