Abstract
The article focuses on the relevance of the problem of organizational and methodological principles of studying the "Syntax" section in primary school in modern language didactics. The essence and content of the main syntactic concepts are revealed. The psychological-pedagogical and linguistic-didactic aspects of the given problem are considered. The organizational and methodological foundations of studying the "Syntax" section in the practice of teaching the Ukrainian language in primary school are described. An analysis and diagnosis of the state of assimilation of syntactic knowledge and skills by junior students is carried out. The expediency of mastering basic syntactic concepts in Ukrainian language lessons in primary school is substantiated. Pedagogical conditions for effective studying of the "Syntax" section by elementary school students as a basis for further grammar learning in the secondary and senior levels of school are determined. Monitoring of the effectiveness of the developed organizational and methodical foundations of teaching syntax in primary school is carried out. The gradual method of formation of syntactic concepts in primary school is considered. A system of expedient methods and techniques, forms and means of initial teaching of syntax is presented. The important directions of the teacher's work of the formation of language and syntactic competence of junior students are determined: work on students' assimilation of basic syntactic concepts and their own essential features; familiarize students with their role in the text; formation of linguistic and syntactic abilities and skills; development and improvement of sentence parsing skills. A system of linguistic and syntactic exercises and tasks aimed at forming the syntactic competence of junior students is developed. Methodological recommendations for primary school teachers on organizing the study of the "Syntax" section and the formation of students' syntactic abilities and skills in Ukrainian language lessons are mentioned.
