Abstract

The purpose of the article is a comprehensive look at the current stage of the development of Ukrainian academic guitar art in terms of popularizing the national repertoire of representatives of various regional schools and actively involving it in the work during the professional training of performers. The article describes the characteristics of the leading development trends from the point of view of the synthesis of compositional, performing and pedagogical planes. At the same time, the question arises of the importance of mastering the already existing national repertoire for the guitar, given its characteristic stylistic and genre abilities. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive approach that combines the methods of cultural, musicological, genre-stylistic, performance analysis. Research terminology includes names and concepts used in musicology, as well as specific terms specific to guitar performance and pedagogy. Scientific novelty consists in an attempt to comprehensively characterize the latest national guitar repertoire, created at the end of the 20th - in the first decades of the 21st century, which is based on personal practical experience. Conclusions. The article describes the characteristics of the leading trends in the development of guitar art from the point of view of the synthesis of compositional, performing and pedagogical levels. Characteristic stylistic and genre features of the modern guitar repertoire are presented. The prospects for the development of guitar art, which lie in close interaction with non-academic music (jazz, folklore), are named.
