The article highlights the problem of implementing interdisciplinary connections and elements of integration into studying the Ukrainian and English languages in institutions of comprehensive secondary education. It analyzes the latest studies and publications on the issue. It outlines the bilingual education as an innovative one, which primarily involves the study of non-linguistic disciplines by means of a foreign language. The article notes the priority of the English language in intercultural communication, which is rightfully considered to be the language of progressive science and innovative technologies. It emphasizes that English enables communication between representatives of different countries and nationalities at international summits, conferences, symposiums, and meetings, whatever spheres of social life they relate to. The study substantiates that the modern requirements for the training of a qualified specialist require the development of the essential communicative skills in the sphere of professional and situational communication in the scope of the subject determined by professional needs. We focus on the preparation to implement bilingual education in the high school, which should activate interdisciplinary connections with English in the Ukrainian language lessons in grades 5-9. We found that the integrative approach can be implemented if the integrity of knowledge is developed due to its integration on the basis of concepts common to all subjects, the application of methods and forms of learning, control and correction of students' educational achievements, which direct the educational process towards the consolidation of knowledge. The article presents sample exercises and tasks of different levels aimed at realizing interdisciplinary connections between the Ukrainian and English languages.
