Abstract

The article highlights the analysis of the empirical study of the value-motivational sphere of junior psychology students, presents their generalized motivational and value profile. In particular, the results of the study of the peculiarities of the hierarchical structure of the value orientations of future psychologists are analyzed, where the first rank places are occupied by hedonism, independence, acceptance of the ideas of tolerance and creative expression by futurespecialists, and the least important for students are the values of power, conformism and traditions. The characteristics of their motivational (resource) states and motivational strategies are characterized. It as found that students are able to realistically assess their psychological abilities, use their own psychological resources, and are characterized by self-improvement and self-confidence, creativity and the desire to succeed. Among junior psychology students, the largest percentage of representatives of the internal-object type of motivational strategies aimed at cooperation and creative performance of joint activities, as well as the internal-subject type, for which the main way of interaction is the dominance of the internal over the external, avoidance of difficult situations and a certain separation of work. For students of all types of motivational strategies, the most important value is hedonism, and the value structure of representatives of those types of motivational strategies that are united by a common function of introversion or extraversion is the most similar. Certain negative trends in the development of the motivational and value sphere of students have been identified. In particular, the growth of individualism and the hypertrophied importance of the material side of life and entertainment, the decrease in the importance of responsibility can lead to a decrease in the level of social identity, the emergence of problems with moral guidelines and the flourishing of ideas of moral relativism.
