Abstract

The article outlines a number of advantages of introducing distance learning for students with special educational needs: economic feasibility; minimizing the risk of bullying students with developmental disabilities; freedom to choose an educational institution based on the quality of educational services, rather than conditional adaptability for a certain category of students or geographical proximity; the opportunity to build an individual educational route for the student, taking into account the limitations and possibilities of his development. The article describes the difficulties of implementing distance learning: high requirements for the technical equipment of teachers and students; problems of insufficiently formed ICT competence and e-learning skills among teachers and students; low level of formation of students' independence in the organization of their own learning; a complex stage of preparation of educational e-content, which would take into account multiple options for presenting information; development of effective mechanisms for socio-educa�tional integration of students with developmental disabilities. According to the results of the survey of teach�ers (n=42) of special and inclusive classes, the peculiarities of the organization of distance learning of students with special educational needs caused by developmental disorders were revealed. It was established that the introduction of distance learning in the conditions of a pandemic and war took place against the background of a lack of experience and a low level of formation of teachers' ICT competence and the ability to teach remotely. The extremity of the conditions for the introduction of a new type of education, which practically made it impossible for teachers to quickly form the necessary ICT competence, led to their desire to transfer the traditional classroom-lesson system with all its features to remote mode, building it according to the synchronous option of interaction with students. The elimination of procedural problems of distance learning organization of students of the specified category should be preceded by the solution of material and technical problems and the improvement of the level of competence to teach and learn in the distance mode
