Modern legal education should take into account European standards, which will ensure the training of specialists who are able to meet the demands of the labor market and the challenges of modern society, the globality of the state, and the responsibilities of professional activity. The study of human rights and the constitutional foundations of human and citizen rights in Ukraine could become one of the areas of study in high school for an informed professional choice. The introduction of human rights and freedoms as universal human values into the system of legal education can contribute to the formation and development of legal culture, general respect for man, and the spiritual and moral development of society. This approach meets international and European standards. The purpose of the article is to investigate the current difficulties and trends in the professional training of lawyers in Ukraine. The reform of the higher education of lawyers aims to teach them professional standards of legal practice, which necessitates the modernization of the content of the educational process, as well as the adaptation of the professional duties of lawyers to the needs of the economic sector. The constitutional and legal the policy of Ukraine regarding the reform of higher education is aimed at promoting the practical aspects of the modern training of future lawyers with the aim of increasing their popularity in the labor market and providing all branches of the economy and the state with competent lawyers. Today, many new challenges have appeared in the legal, educational, and scientific spheres. One of the objectives of the organization's development strategy is the adaptation of legal education to the conditions of martial law. Since 2020, the COVID-19 epidemic has significantly affected the large-scale transition of education, including legal education, from traditional face-to-face education to distance education. Reforms of legal education in Ukraine should be comprehensive and aimed at increasing its practical value, taking into account the needs of the labor market. It is worth noting that several important steps have been taken in Ukraine to reform the legal education system, but this issue is still considered important and is being discussed by representatives of the scientific and legal community. Further research should be aimed at creating a comprehensive model of training lawyers in Ukraine.
