Abstract
The article highlights the leading theoretical propositions and results of content-technological studies presented in the author's course (selected by students) «Coaching of a gifted child» from the field of knowledge 01 Education/Pedagogy from the specialty 012 Preschool Education. Current approaches and conceptual ideas regarding the research of the scientific issues raised in the article are revealed, the center of which is a preschool-age child with her unique gifts. Various aspects of the coverage of theories of human giftedness presented by modern Ukrainian and foreign researchers are presented. The content and structure of the course, which is included in the catalog of selective subjects at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, was developed in accordance with the educational and professional program in the specialty «Preschool Education» of the first (bachelor's) level of training. The article describes the basic terms and concepts that express the content of future preschool teachers’ training for the psychological and pedagogical support of gifted children in the educational process of kindergarten. Authors give their interpretation of the components of the preschool teacher’s readiness for psychological and pedagogical support of a gifted child. Based on the results of empirical research and analysis of reflections of higher education students, the effectiveness of the «Coaching of a gifted child» course has been proven. The course material is systematized and presented in four content modules, namely: «Theoretical foundations of coaching a gifted child», «Portrait of a gifted child of preschool age», «Designing educational interaction with gifted children in conditions of special education», «Psychological and pedagogical support of a gifted child». Features and diagnostic methods for identifying different types of giftedness in children are disclosed; coaching technologies for the development of children's talents, taking into account the value for their personal growth.
