Abstract
Emotional intelligence is defined as the ability of an individual to recognize and regulate their own emotions and the emotions of others. It is closely related to musical activities, which activate brain areas associated with emotional processing. Vocal works, as a synthesis of sound and verbal content, contribute to the development of emotional intelligence, particularly through the awareness of the social meaning of texts. In musical education, four components are important: self-awareness, self-organization, social awareness, and relationship management, which help to develop soft skills. Thus, musical activities improve emotional intelligence, which is crucial for a successful professional career.
