Abstract

The article highlights the extremely topical issue of ensuring effective comprehensive support for servicemen in the context of the rehabilitation process after severe injuries in the context of the war caused by the armed attack by russian federation on Ukraine. Given the current martial law in Ukraine since 24 February 2022, the latest data from domestic medical experts demonstrates the importance of the topic, as almost 90% of patients have explosive and gunshot wounds. Modern scholars are actively conducting research on the types of combat trauma and their effects on human life, especially the communicative, speech and psycho-emotional state. The paper analyses the statistics on the localization of soldiers' injuries and describes possible consequences for the body's functionality and various spheres of human life. A figure with a visual representation of the statistical indicators of the distribution of the localization of combat wounds of Ukrainian defenders is shown. It shows that the number of injuries to the head area is increasing, which inevitably leads to physiological difficulties in the human body, especially in the processes of nutrition, speech, and social adaptation. These factors confirm the relevance and prospects of studying the chosen topic. In addition, the article outlines the characteristic principles of the work of an interdisciplinary support team based on the current legislation of Ukraine. The role of each team member (in particular, a psychologist and a speech therapist) and the conditions for favourable activity are considered. The need for timely preparation of students majoring in Psychology and Speech Therapy for future rehabilitation work with adults, especially with injured soldiers, is mentioned. Therefore, the article proposes a strategy of professional training of specialists for the development and implementation of psychological and speech therapy support for the military in the system of rehabilitation process.
