Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the processes of comic euphemisation, the language interference of Russian euphemisms and precedent phrases, and their negativation in the Ukrainian humorous discourse of wartime, which is realized through the appearance of numerous neologisms that perform the role of comic euphemisms or, on the contrary, comic rude lexicon. The combination of politically correct and offensive vocabulary is a trend of modern Ukrainian humorous wartime discourse. The conducted scientific research reveals that Ukrainian comic euphemisms are constructed by creating new Ukrainian metaphors or by reinterpreting borrowed Russian euphemisms, which in turn receive additional negative evaluative connotations and emotional connotations of comedy, contempt and mockery. In stylistic terms, the given examples of the use of Ukrainian comic euphemisms testify to the use of figures of creation of double meaning: irony, double entendre, puns. Such figures as bathos, pastiche, paraprosdocian, enalage, absurdity, allusion, metaphors, parody, fake enthusiasm, funny logic, reinterpreted euphemisms and precedent phrases from the Russian language are involved. The analyzed comic euphemisms perform the functions of relieving psychological stress, solidarity, entertainment, contempt for the enemy, strengthening the spirit, successful communication and creativity, avoiding "the language of hatred"
