Abstract

This article delves into the critical issue of social inclusion for children with special educational needs in Ukraine. It identifies and analyzes the key barriers that hinder full inclusion, including societal stereotypes, insufficient teacher training, inaccessible educational environments, and limited state support. The study underscores the urgent need for systemic changes to foster a more inclusive educational landscape in Ukraine. To effectively address these challenges, the article proposes a series of recommendations. These include raising public awareness about special educational needs and promoting inclusivity, providing comprehensive professional development for teachers, creating accessible educational environments, and strengthening state support for inclusive education initiatives. By implementing these measures, Ukraine can significantly advance towards a more equitable and inclusive society where all children have equal opportunities to learn and thrive
